Allen Ginsberg: Poetry with Surreal Imagery
by Henry Rosenbush on May.28, 2010, under eXisTenTiaLNihLisT
eXisTenTiaLNihLisT feels compelled to channel Ginsberg as he prepares for the weekend of final May creativity.
Saturday night will be a fun trip for my readers as part two of my multivariate series on journeys to Maine (2002-04) with “Nude Astral Projection and Dangerous Crow Beaks,” explores the creative mind through astral projection, spiritual awakenings and mythos, starring a huge cast of animals and the effects of too much cognac and reefer and why nudity in below 30s temperatures can affect not only the creative mind but the frail frame of moi!
What can I say? I thought it would be cool to go into the Native American forest of spirits sans clothes; it wasn’t. Even the temporal warp was too damned cold on my southern body but it was still worthwhile as an experiment in my exploration of the existential nudist colony esthetics. Luckily, dear readers, no photos of my nakedness!
Whew.
Nudity with pocupines and sarcastic crows is a lesson to be learned and I LEARNED.
OUCH.
The Ginsberg vid is amazing, as you have already seen if you watched it before reading my promo; imagine him seeing his poetry to surreal videos! If this doesn’t bring his spirit back to say WTF? nothing will.
