Rosenbush Café

Just a quick update that I am still alive and much happier offline than I had imagined when I closed Face Book, Twitter, MySpace, Linked In and all useless time-wasting internet services, except for the blog. Real world is a disappointment; however, the ETHER is a far larger problem.

Cyber-stalking, identity theft – including email and cell – who did I piss off in a past life? – and ugly experiences with friendships from my past. One would think I would just close the cafe again – the real one shuttered in 1971 – and surrender. I am not a quitter and this personal printing press is my only voice of reason.

I first entered the web world in early 1998 and I have seen the best and worst this technology has to offer; aside from the very few genuine friends I made, which totals fingers on one hand, the ether is unfortunately an unregulated phantasmagorial horror show. I wrote extensively about racism, homophobia, hatred, ignorance and religious intolerance and have supported human and animals rights only to see my words twisted and taken out of context and used against me. Well, irony has no reward in the outcome.

Too bad for those who doubt my sincerity and honesty.

Since you do not know me personally you may never believe or understand why I support causes that empower and restore faith in self and the powerless. We must continue to make a stand against everywhere against tyranny and worldwide hatred and fight for freedoms that have been usurped and taken for granted by the powerful.

They have underestimated us.

I will never stop promoting freedom of speech and will never stop battling hatred in this world. It is an illness and the disease is madness that surpasses the Black Plague, AIDs, Alzhemier’s disease and cancer in it’s death toll on individual rights and freedoms.

The ether is a truly a remarkable creation but also the most insidious mind controlling device ever conceived.

It tortures and maims
and teases and tames
intellectual beings.

Far too many people hide behind its anonymous facade to hurt any individual who dares share their opinions.

I will be 57 soon and while reflecting on my life thus far finally realized that the ether is merely a tool and no different than a quill pen or manual typewriter. Somewhere in the recent past it became such a massive entity that it enslaved the mind and blinded the eyes of reason.

During my time offline I have begun dusting off the 1930s-style manual typewriters in my collection to begin writing in the style that best suits me, sans functions that placate the masses with the power to delete, deface, defame, defriend and destroy. At least a typewriter can unleash the power of the imagination and I have stayed away from my roots for too long. I still write in long hand and am glad I have the power to continue using pencils, pens and paper.

I finally reached my zero tolerance on the ether and plan to share some commentary soon on how others can reclaim their lives knowing that I will be urging you to all take time away from this dangerous world to look at the sky, flowers, untamed beasts and contemplate the cosmos.

Heal auras is my mission, starting with my own, and once I feel confident I have reached at least one of you and given comfort I can leave the ether forever without looking back at regrets of what I could have done. I accept my destiny is to be a novelist and share my sincere sentient being on pages and not high def screens.
