Food and Drug Administration Pet Food Recalls Updated

The Milo Institute of Feline Well-Being urges all consumers to check the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website to identify if you’re in possession of contaminated pet foods. There are links to stories on the affected foods, updated lists of products and telephone numbers for consumer inquiries. Our prayers to all pet owners who have lost cats or dogs due to these tragic and needless circumstances and to the souls of our fallen brothers and sisters in the animal kingdom. FDA

Sorry for the lack of updates in March, but I experienced a number of unexpected curves on the highway of life. I have been sidetracked onto a railway system that never slowed down enough for me to get off. My mother remains in the nursing home despite my efforts to get her home. Rosenbush Cafe Celebrates Spring In Floral Fashion

My mate, Natalie, once again displayed her green thumbs with a variety of floral delights. Roses celebrate not only my name but the Cafe itself. In a few weeks these lovely flowers will adorn to Cafe as we begin our spring menu of tasty morsels.
Katja Views World From Inverted Perspective

Katja reminds us to view the world from different perspectives. Granted she's a catortionist with the inate ability to stretch comfortably in varied directions. Katja and sisters Kitsya and Pink2 have relocated to a temporary wing of the Milo Institute of Feline Well-Being at the Henri Villas for a spring sabbatical. They are studing wildlife displacement as the University of Alabama begins site preparations for construction of the new police department next door. At Pink2's last count, she reports 56 birds, squirrels and rodents have relocated to nearby sanctuaries on Riverside and Sherwood Drives.
Early Sunset After A Cool Side Of The Day

Sunsets are earlier now that spring approaches and Friday, March 16 was no exception. The end of another long week at the Cafe as I prepare for updates, new features and more pictures. This was also the last Friday for me going over the Warrior River from Tuscaloosa to Northport, Alabama to visit my 93 year old mother in the nursing home. She returns our home Thursday morning with a new sitter and hopefully a smooth transition. With Alzhemier’s disease, however, nothing is certain and I’ll share with you recent developments and explore the many facets of this dreadful disease and how I cope as her son and primary care giver in Cool Side of the Pillow.
