New Trailers: Star Trek with Leonard Nimoy as Spock; Clive Owen is The International
Posted by Henry Rosenbush on November 25th, 2008Thanks to Trailer Addict for this cool revised trailer of the one we ran November 20th. Zachary Quinto (Heroes) stars as the young Spock, and my favorite original TV Star Trek character, Leonard Nimoy has the iconic role as an older Mr. Spock. The new Star Trek, directed by JJ Abrams (Alias, Cloverfield) looks exciting and will probably be the summer movie to beat next May. The film also stars Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana and John Cho star as the rest of the original series’ characters, while Eric Bana plays the villian, well at least one of them. Not yet rated but looks like a PG-13.
At the other end of the spectrum, and Rated R, is The International, starring Clive Owen. Banks as villians? Now that should be fun. The trailer looked great in the theater recently when I saw RocknRolla, so enjoy it on the smaller screen at Rosenbush Cafe! Clive plays Interpol agent Louis Salinger trying to bring down one of the world’s most powerful, and corrupt banks - say it isn’t true! Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run, another all-time time warping favorite) directs this taunt thriller co-starring Naomi Watts and Armin Mueller-Stahl, both seen together in David Cronenberg’s Eastern Promises.
